Emissivity Enhancer

The emissivity enhancer is a gold plated concave mirror, which is mounted quite close to the measuring object. This product is used to enable temperature measurements on shiny surfaces. Due to multiple internal reflections between the measuring object and the emissivity enhancer the infrared energy is "mechanically" increased. The used pyrometer measures this mechanically increased energy through a small hole in the concave mirror.
Moreover the emissivity enhancer shields the measuring object against interfering radiation. Consequently it improves the measuring results of temperature measurements near the ambient temperature.

The emissivity enhancer allows non contact temperature measurements on objects, which could not be measured due to their specific material properties (e.g. an extremely small emissivity).

It can be used in combination with numerous IMPAC-pyrometers.
