  • Very small spot sizes from 0.8 ... 7 mm
  • Measuring distance from 100 ..... 600 mm

The KLEIBER KMSR 430-LO-C is a digital ratio-pyrometer with fibre optic cable for non-contact temperature measurement.

The pyrometer measures at two different, close together wavelengths and determines the temperature value. This technique offers some advantages compared to pyrometers that measure in one-channel mode.

Temperature measurement, in most areas, is independent of emissivity and insensitive to interferences in the incoming radiation energy.

When using the ratio pyrometer the measured object can be smaller than the target spot of the instrument and it is generally possible to measure through dirty viewing ports (windows).

The KMSR 430 can also be set to operate as a single channel pyrometer.

The pyrometer is supplied with a fibre optic cable as standard. This allows use in ambient temperatures up to 260°C without cooling and makes it insensitive to interference from electromagnetic radiation.
A range of optical heads with different measuring distances and very small measurement spots is available. A response time of 10 ms enables the measurement of fast heating processes.

All parameters can be adjusted via the KD 60-2 digital display. Additionally PC based software is available to display and save the measured temperature as well as to parameterise the pyrometer via a USB interface.

After connecting the USB cable and starting the software the KMSR 430 automatically switches to analogue measuring output signal and then all available parameters can be adjusted by using the software.

The KMSR 430-LO-C with integrated PID-controller features automatic control and monitoring for all processes. The controller compares all recent measured temperatures with the given temperature and notifies differences with an alarm signal. This signal is used for direct machine control for example induction heating systems.

The controller is fast acting and refreshes the signal at the acquisition time of the pyrometer. The integrated controller can be switched on and off and the parameters are adjustable via a USB interface with the PC or digital display.
