Rolling

Rolling aluminium is done at very different temperatures - depending on the processing step. Different pyrometers can be used depending on the temperature and the application area.  

Process		Conditions		Recommended  pyrometers
Measurement after preheating		Temperatures approx. 200°C.		IP 140    IPE 140 with or without Emissivity enhancer
Measurement at the beginning of the rolling mill		Temperatures approx. 450°C.		IP 140 IPE 140 IGAR 12-LO with or without Emissivity enhancer
Measurement at the end of the rolling mill		Temperatures can be below 100 °C.		IP 140 IPE 140 with or without Emissivity enhancer
