Glass treating processes and bulb manufacturing

The surface temperature is a decisive parameter for annealing and bending of flat glass, shaping of the glass with gas burners or producing lamps . For this reason only a low depth of penetration is needed.

The temperature measurement should be independent of the glass-thickness.

Glass treating processes and bulb manufacturing		To guarantee measurements, that are independent of the glass thickness, pyrometers with a special spectral range are needed. For some applications (e.g. measurements in glass bending furnaces or in bulb production) pyrometers with very short response times are needed. Often very small objects have to be measured.
